Ethical Statments

Our Ethical Commitments

Better business, responsibly.

At Reson8, we help businesses save time, improve how they work and create opportunities for growth. How we achieve that matters as much as the outcome.

These principles guide the way we work with people, choose technology and approach our responsibilities.

Sustainability

Digital services have an environmental footprint. Websites, cloud storage, automation and AI all use energy and resources.

Our approach is to choose technology with a clear purpose, avoid unnecessary complexity and make sensible use of existing systems. We aim to reduce duplicated processes, unnecessary data storage and wasteful digital activity.

We favour remote collaboration where practical and consider whether travel is necessary. When recommending new tools, we consider their usefulness, longevity and environmental impact alongside their commercial value.

We recognise that using digital technology does not automatically make a business more sustainable. Environmental claims should be supported by evidence.

Modern Slavery and Human Rights

We do not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced labour, human trafficking or the exploitation of vulnerable people.

We expect the people and organisations we work with to respect human rights, provide fair working conditions and comply with applicable employment laws.

Our approach to suppliers and contractors is to consider these risks in proportion to the work involved and investigate concerns when they arise. Where exploitation is identified, our priority is to prevent further harm and take appropriate action.

Social Responsibility

We want our work to create lasting value for businesses, their teams and the people they serve.

That means considering how changes affect employees and customers, alongside the financial benefits. We aim to reduce repetitive administration, improve communication and give people more time for work that benefits from their experience and judgement.

When introducing automation, we encourage clear communication, suitable training and a considered transition for the people affected.

Equality, Inclusion and Respect

Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

We oppose discrimination, harassment and bullying. We value different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, and aim to make our working relationships fair and inclusive.

Decisions about the people we work with should reflect relevant skills, experience and conduct, without prejudice.

Responsible AI and Automation

AI should have a useful purpose, clear boundaries and an appropriate level of human oversight.

We aim to recommend tools that suit the task, explain their limitations and consider the consequences of errors. Outputs should be checked in proportion to their importance, particularly where they affect customers, finances or significant business decisions.

We recognise that AI can produce inaccurate information and reflect bias. We support testing, review and a clear route to a person when judgement or accountability is needed.

People should understand when they are interacting with an AI assistant. We do not support using AI to deceive, impersonate or exploit them.

Privacy and Information Security

Respect for personal information is central to responsible technology use.

Our principle is to use only the information needed for a clear purpose, limit access appropriately and consider privacy when designing websites and connected workflows.

Client information should be handled with care. The use of external platforms and AI tools should take account of confidentiality, provider terms and relevant data protection requirements.

Our Privacy Policy explains how Reson8 handles personal information.

Accessibility

Useful technology should be accessible to the people who need it.

We aim to make accessibility part of website and workflow decisions from the outset, considering clear language, readable content, navigation and different ways of interacting with digital services.

Where barriers are identified, we work towards practical improvements and welcome feedback from the people affected.

Honest Business Practices

We aim to be clear about what we recommend, what it costs and what a client can reasonably expect.

We do not support misleading claims, hidden charges, bribery or improper influence. Recommendations should be based on the client’s needs, with relevant commercial relationships or conflicts of interest disclosed.

We respect intellectual property and expect content, software and creative work to be used with appropriate permission.

Accountability and Improvement

These commitments require ongoing attention.

We welcome questions and concerns about our work, including feedback from clients, suppliers and the wider community. Our aim is to listen fairly, investigate proportionately and make improvements where they are needed.
